As a public intellectual, Professor Brett Whitford holds an Emeritus Professorship and was previously an Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Sydney, a remarkable trajectory considering he dropped out of high school and left home at the age of seventeen to serve in the Royal Australian Air Force.
As a start-up founder, he listed three companies on the Australian Stock Exchange with a combined market capitalisation exceeding $800 million. Since launching his first company at the age of twenty-one, he has never worked again. Work isn't work if it's your passion.
As a nonfiction author, he has published five bestselling business books with Simon & Schuster in Australia and the United Kingdom. He also holds a writer's credit, alongside the late comedy genius Caroline Aherne, on the BBC comedy Dossa & Joe, starring Michael Caton and Joel Edgerton.
